ALUMINUM DYNAMICS
PROJECT LOCATION: Columbus, MS
The Aluminum Dynamics facility, located in Columbus, Mississippi, is a cutting-edge aluminum flat-roll mill with an annual production capacity of 650,000 tons. New Millennium supplied every steel joist, joist girder, and deck section for the project, as well as two gigantic 25-ton, 128-inch-deep joist girders—each spanning 176 feet—which were delivered in halves and field-spliced on site. These girders were designed to resist nearly 1,000,000 pounds of tension force.
