Rhino-Dek® Bridge Deck

Steel bridge decking with protection from aggressive environments

Close up under bridge of Rhino-Dek®

Polymer laminate over galvanized steel protects Rhino-Dek® against salt corrosion

The added-benefit of Rhino-Dek® comes from polymer laminate—available on one or both sides of the deck pan—over galvanized steel. The combination makes Rhino-Dek® resistant to salt, whether it’s direct splash, fog or road salt in the winter. Rhino-Dek® is also abrasion- and ultraviolet-resistant. The protective coating of Rhino-Dek®can extend bridge service life in aggressive environments to 124 years.

Rhino-Dek® polymer-laminated bridge-deck forms

Ideal for spans over brackish and salt water, Rhino-Dek® can be deployed where steel deck is needed for new bridge construction and bridge rehabilitation. Rhino-Dek®is more than long-lasting. It also introduces cost and time savings.

  • Extends bridge service life in aggressive environments to 124 years
  • Creates safe working platforms after installation
  • Reduces costs by 20% to 25% compared to wood forms
  • Eliminates expensive welding
  • Lowers long-term maintenance costs
